Options Analysis
Options Analysis applies when you wish to
analyze survey data on option evaluations and choices across a group.
The results show the degrees of changeability and commitment to each option.
Also revealed are current or potential sources of change for each option's
share of choice.
MaceTech Options Analysis is an Add-In program for Excel. A freeware version with supporting information is available for
downloading.
Options Analysis, Summary Review
MaceTech® Options Analysis is for measuring
and analysing the status and dynamics of option evaluations and choices
amongst individuals within groups. It measures the scale of differences
between option evaluations and, thereby, the changeability of choices.
Application areas include marketing, market
research, policy analysis, political science, sociology, economics,
psychology, corporate and public communications, and advertising.
Evaluations and choices may involve goods or
services, organisational, social, political, personal, or other alternatives.
Options may currently exist or be planned, possible, or hypothetical.
Options Analysis methods provide insights on
option inter-relationships, inter-option threats and opportunities, and
strategies or tactics for changing evaluations or choices.
With appropriate survey data on option
evaluations, MaceTech Options Analysis will compute the size of each option's
advantage and disadvantage and infer impacts on choice.
You can also analyse the composition, size
and character of the factors generating each option's advantage, disadvantage
and share. The results show how, and how readily, choices might be changed.
Furthermore, you can modify options to create
new scenarios, perform simulation, and evaluate changes to option advantage,
disadvantage and share.
Options Analysis requires only one measure
for each option. And, validation testing requires just one more item. So,
typically, data can be readily collected in any small or large, ad hoc or
periodic survey. The information applies equally to general or strategic
analysis, or, monitoring and tracking change.
Tutorial and help on MaceTech Options
Analysis methods are included plus support materials and software. The
program is an add-in for Microsoft Excel97 or later.
The current version will analyse up to 30 options in a single analysis.
